And here I go again.

I’m homeless.. again.

I’ve handed in my notice for the flat I’m at now and need to be out on the 1oth of june. I was supposed to find a new home with my current flatmate, however, she is now moving back home.

I have exams until the 18th -> In Monaco 19th-27th -> Croatia/Italy 1st-4th -> moving out the 9th -> starting work in Sthlm 10th -> housing in Sthlm until mid July -> and then.. I really don’t know.. I just know this is not going to be easy.  Since my family is spread all over the world, London is MY home. Not having a place to be in London makes me homeless. Life is not easy guys. However, I know I will make it somehow.. I have many times before. Although London might be the hardest city to find…

Winning the lottery

Mai 8, 2012

Shambolic Living

Well the 70 million dollar jackpot went off last night. Three people managed to get almost 25 million dollars each. I’m still clinging to the notion that I could be one of them. One was from New South Wales and my mobile phone isn’t charged so the lottery people could have tried to contact me while I ate chocolate, watched Missing and went to bed way too late. Sleeping the night away blissfully unaware that I now had enough money to legitimately buy my way into the George Clooney dinner party.

They say money doesn’t buy happiness but I reckon 25 million dollars has to dull a lot of pain.

The last couple of days we’ve played the „if I win the lottery“ game. You know the one where for a few moments you get to live every dream you have ever had? Mr Shambles immediately heads to the…

Day 4: I am grateful for…

I am grateful for choices.

As adults, we all get to make choices everyday from how to spend the next 30 minutes to what to where we want to live. We aren’t always cognizant of our choices but they are there and sometimes, as Americans, choice becomes overwhelming. Sometimes it would be easier if someone else could make choices for us once in awhile.

I just read The Hunger Games Trilogy. It is not an easy story to forget. Katniss Everdeen has been in my head for the past several weeks. I even read several books of essays so I could keep thinking about why I can’t get her out of my thoughts… The people from the Capital had traded their ability to make important choices in their lives for a life of plenty; plenty of food and plenty of entertainment. Katniss and the people of Panem, however, did not have…

Take charge of your learning at the All Day Breakfast

Genuine. Organic. Change.

Social Media Breakfast: Waterloo Region

Social Media Breakfast: Waterloo Region has been a great success since I founded it on June 30, 2010. We’re averaging 90 people per event since we started and have had crowds this winter of 170 and 130.

Join me at the All Day Breakfast

Due to this thirst for social media learning opportunities, I have organized what we’re calling an All Day Breakfast on May 29. On the one hand, the day will be like attending three of our regular breakfast events. We have three excellent speakers lined up.

Natalie MacNeil of She Takes on the World will share the story behind her award-winning blog for women entrepreneurs. Jeremy Wright of 23press.com will explore how people can use their time on social media most efficiently and remain authentic. And the day will kick off with Shum Attygalle of Digital Marketing Lounge who will present how businesses can benefit from…

Pam Klainer's Day

I love the London Economist because I run across words I’ve never seen before – never mind knowing the meaning.

Today’s word: myrmidon.

Look it up on Google, or tune in tomorrow and I’ll tell you the meaning. 🙂

Extreme Tanning Mama… AKA „Leather Head“ In Hot Water For Taking 5-Year-Old Tanning

Mai 8, 2012

wonderfull world

The (Not Always) Happy Homemaker Diary

Tanning. It’s one of those things that millions of us do. Be it in natural sunlight, or under artifitial rays of a Tanning Bed. I personally know of tanners. Mainly of the „fake sun“ kind. But I will give them all this, they sure as hell do NOT look like this um… lady(??).

Meet Patricia Krentcil, an (what I would call) „extreme tanner“ and mother to a five-year-old daughter. And one who has been arrested and charged with Second Degree Child Endangerment. Why?

Because this dummy had (presumably) placed the little girl in to a tanning bed and the daughter had gotten burned. As of now, the child’s father has custody of her, thankfully.

To read more about the case of the Jersey Mom CLICK HERE.

To actually listen to her reason (of insanity) CLICK HERE.

So, according to Mom, the daughter…
